Bad news, bears. We’re pretty sure the higher ups at ABC must have been listening to our conversations about how exhausted we were from the last couple episodes of Nashville, and decided to give our hearts a break (before taking the, um, chains, off of it). We’re sorry about that, but watching Deacon (Charles Esten) feel more feelings than just “hungry” and “tired” and “plaid” has really given us the need for sleep (and flannel).

So, we’re going to have to do that thing that keeps happening with Nashville and rest for a couple weeks before it returns with Episode 18 “Take These Chains From My Heart.” While we’re waiting, there will be some repeats. We like Nashville, but with all the reruns we’ve watched this season, we’re thinking that this better be one epic season finish.

Why all the repeated episodes? Besides the unfairness of life, we think it has something to do with the fact that ABC cut its order for Nashville Season 1 down from 22 to 21 episodes. The reasoning behind that move being (rumored) that there wasn’t enough time for producers to film/cut/whatever an extra episode. So, we can imagine that in trying to fit all the leads into the finale, there’s some major recutting that has to happen.

Oops, to make a short story long, the next episode will be on May 1. You can check out the official synopsis, watch some of our favorite videos, vote on the next songs that Lennon and Maisy should sing, and write us a story about what would happen if you met Sam Palladio/Charles Esten/Connie Britton on the street. Go.
