Bah! We are so tired of this 2:30 Wednesday feeling. You know, the one where you wake up and you’re all excited to see Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) make out for a while on Nashville, or maybe bone a bit, and instead you get that blue remote syndrome we’ve grown to dread. And even though the show is technically on tonight, it’s not new, and that’s what we really care about.

On ABC at 10pm on this increasingly mediocre evening, you can watch our favorite moon-eyed duo begin forming at the most awkward moment, on Nashville Season 1, Episode 14, “Dear Brother.” Even if you sort of don’t want to watch Deacon (Charles Esten) awe shucks his way through another birthday party, there’s always Rayna’s (Connie Britton) gorgeous song to look forward to.

But for all of you who are already ¾ of the way through a bottle of Old Crow in preparation for the disappointment sure to fill you in a few hours, worry not. Next week, it’s time to find out what happens when Rayna’s life starts to unravel a little more. According to the official synopsis for Nashville Season 1, Episode 15 “When You’re Tired of Breaking Other Hearts,” our favorite (sorry Juliette) country star hangs with Katie Couric while her oldest daughter sneaks out and gets in a “dangerous” situation. Ruh-roh. See ya later, we’re off to get ice for the rest of our whiskey.
