Who can take a sunrise? Sprinkle it with tears? Cover it with yelling and we’re too sad to continue. The answer is, Nashville. That show, you guys, we’ll tell ya... It’s killing us. ABC gave us weeks of delicious episodes, then bowed out for a bit, then came back, only to leave us again. It reminds us of our / Juliette’s mom in totally un-therapy fixable ways. As you can probably guess from your tear-stained computer screens, Nashville is not on tonight.
We’re not exactly sure why the show is on hiatus until the end of March (and we’re just as devastated as you are about that news), but that’s the haps. We’ve had four or five beautiful months (well, 14 episodes) with the show, making it our second-longest relationship ever, and Season 1 will be back for its last eight episodes of the season on Wednesday, March 27 with Episode 15, “When You’re Tired of Breaking Other Hearts.”
When we last saw our hero/ines, things were a little messy. Deacon (Charles Esten) and Rayna (Connie Britton) had a little heart-to-heart in which Rayna spilled that her life is shite, Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) maybe had sex, and Teddy (Eric Close) and Avery (Jonathan Jackson) continued to compete for the uber-competitive “Worst Dude in Nashville” title.
Based on the promo for Episode 15, it’s not the end of the ridiculousness. Deacon gets a new ladyfriend, Scar and Gunns continue to make us need “special mommy-daddy time,” and Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) career science experiment takes a turn for the worse. Check it, breathe, and remember not to put return addresses on your angry letters.
