Did you know? Eric’s very first onscreen acting credit was the role of a guard in an episode of MacGyver.

Before joining the cast of Nashville, Eric played FBI agent Martin Fitzgerald on the hit police drama Without a Trace for seven seasons. Born in Staten Island, New York, Eric and his family moved around during his childhood but finally settled in San Diego, California when he was seven. He studied communication while at the University of Southern California but decided to give acting a shot after graduating.

Eric appeared on shows like Now and Again and Sisters before landing his long-term role on Without a Trace in 2002. After the series ended in 2009, he went on to star in the 2011 CIA-themed dramedy Chaos, which was cancelled after one season.

With his wife, Keri, Eric has two daughters, Katie and Ella.
