Did you know? Newsweek magazine declared Jonathan a “sureshot” for the role of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode II but the part ended up going to his Trapped in a Purple Haze co-star, Hayden Christensen.

Jonathan Jackson polished his acting chops on-and-off for nearly 20 years while portraying Lucky Spencer on ABC’s soap opera General Hospital, a role for which he took home five Daytime Emmy Awards. That’s also where he met his wife, actress Lisa Vultaggio. The couple married in 2002 and have three children: Adora, Caleb, and Titus.

The 30-year-old star gained recognition outside the soap-lovin’ set when he starred opposite Alexis Bledel as the immortal Jesse Tuck in 2002’s Disney film Tuck Everlasting. He has also scored parts in Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

A musician as well as an actor, Jonathan’s band, Enation, has been featured on One Tree Hill.
