Nathaniel Buzolic on Pretty Little Liars: 5 Reasons We’re Excited!

We’re over the moon about Vampire Diaries star Nathaniel Buzolic’s (Kol) upcoming turn on Pretty Little Liars. Here are five reasons why we can’t wait to see Nate as Dean in Season 4, Episode 22 (“Cover For Me”).

Because he’s helping Spencer

Let’s face it: Spencer could use with a little tough love right about now. She’s spiraled so far into an Adderall addiction, she’s dreaming in film noir. And, word on the street is: Dean’s here to help. According to the original description of his character, he “arrives in town with one mission: to help Spencer…whether she likes it or not!” As you can see in the promo photos for Nate’s debut ep, Dean and Spencer are going on runs together. Our guess? To help curb Spence’s withdrawal from the pills.

Because he won’t be back on The Originals anytime soon

We totally respect The Originals executive producer’s decision not to bring Kol onto the show, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t sad he won’t be gracing our vampire-themed screens. Seeing him on Pretty Little Liars is definitely the next best thing. Who knows? Maybe we’ll even learn to love Dean more than we do Kol!

Because the accent

We’re not sure whether or not Nate will be speaking with is natural Australian accent, but we certainly hope so. If he does drop the Aussie accent for the role, we still get to hear him conduct PLL-themed interviews as an Aussie. And, if he doesn’t, watch out, Wren. There’s a new foreign hottie in town!

Because he’s oh-so-sweet

Have we mentioned that Nate seems totally sweet in real life? He recently revealed the most important goal he’s ever had: “I promised my mum at 12 that I would take her to Italy one day... I did this year... 12 year old Nathaniel cried tears of joy,” Nathaniel tweeted. How could you not want this man to be on all of your favorite shows?

Because it will bring PLL new life

There’s so many old favorites to love on PLL, but there’s something to be said for a new character whos is successfully brought into a show. They bring something new out of their surrounding cast of characters, and get the viewers excited about hearing someone else’s story. We hope Nate’s Dean will give us a bit of that. Although, we can’t help worry that every new character on this show is a future murder victim. How does that saying go? Last hired, first… murdered?

Are you excited to see Nate on PLL? Why or why not? Sound off in the comments below!
