Bachelor Nation Remembers the Late Gia Allemand on Her Birthday

It’s a solemn day for Bachelor Nation, on what would have been Gia Allemand’s 30th birthday. The Bachelor Season 14 and Bachelor Pad star passed away in August after a suicide attempt. But tonight, her friends and family try to set their sadness aside for a good cause. Gia’s mom, Donna Micheletti, along with friend Craig Robinson and a few others, have put together a Celebration of Life for Gia.

In honor of Gia’s birthday, a black tie event at Long Island’s Chateau La Mer is happening this evening, featuring dinner, dancing, dessert, and drinks. Tickets for the event are a tax-deductible $110, with proceeds going to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We’re sure it will be a solemn event in many respects, but are hopeful that it will raise a ton of funds for this very worthy cause.

Some of Gia’s closest friends tweeted touching wishes and remembrances on her birthday:

Craig Robinson: “Happy birthday @GiaAllemand miss u everyday and know you'll be there at ur celebration of life tonight.”

He also tagged the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, writing, “Much love to @afspnational hope we raise a lot of $ for u tonight in @GiaAllemand's name”

Jaclyn Swartz: “Celebrating Gia's birthday tonight with people I love. Hope to raise good money for suicide prevention.”

Kathryn Sherlock: “Happy Birthday @GiaAllemand!!!Always on my mind; forever in my heart. Love you!”

Gwen Gioia: "@GiaAllemand: Colossians 3:12 this is the type of person I strive to be everyday!" You had a heart of Gold, Gia! Happy Birthday! Miss you everyday. Your spirit is still alive in all who you touched.

She followed up shortly after with an Instagram collage of her friend, writing "Happy 30th Gia! Remembering you and your sweet, spunky self. Shine bright up there."

Holly Durst was less specific about who she was writing to, but her Bachelor Pad co-star must've been on her mind when she tweeted, "Missing my friend today on what would be her birthday. I still miss you..."
