Just yesterday we showed you photos of Naya Rivera (Santana) and actor Ryan Dorsey, who we assumed was her new boyfriend, soaking up the sun in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, but apparently we were a little behind since Naya is now a married lady!

Today, July 23, we learned Naya and Ryan actually tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in front of a small group of close family in Cabo on July 19. If you’re shocked, you’re not alone. It’s only been about three months since Naya and rapper Big Sean called off their engagement, so we were surprised to learn Naya tied the knot so fast, let alone began another relationship. But if Naya is happy, then we’re happy for her, so read on to learn a bit more about the Glee actress’ new husband.

For starters, while Naya and Ryan’s relationship may seem like it’s moving super fast, the pair have actually known each other for several years. Per People, Ryan, who is also an actor, is a native of Charleston, West Virginia. He attended the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts before relocating to Los Angeles four years ago, where he met Naya. According to longtime friends of the couple, they became more than friends after Naya’s engagement to Big Sean ended in April and their relationship blossomed from there.

Ryan may not be as well-known in Hollywood as his new bride, but he seems to have a promising career ahead. Naya’s man has had small roles in various television shows and short films, appearing in two episodes of Southland last year, and also getting a bit part on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Ryan can also be seen in a handful of short films, including 2011’s Groovin’ On and Shadows, which was recently completed. And how’s this for some Tinseltown cred? Ryan just wrapped production on Blood Father, a movie starring Mel Gibson and William H. Macy. Pretty impressive!

We’re still stunned that Naya is a married lady, but we wish her and Ryan all the best. What do you think of Naya’s surprise marriage? Tell us your thoughts below!
