Naya Rivera (Santana) only dated her now-husband Ryan Dorsey for about three months before they tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on July 19 (though the couple has known each other for several years) and since the nuptials came out of the blue, we were impressed that Naya was able to put everything together so quickly.

However, per TMZ, it looks like Naya had a bit of a head start on arranging her wedding to Ryan because she actually co-opted several details of her planned nuptials to rapper Big Sean — including the wedding date! Sources tell the site that Naya and Big Sean were reportedly supposed to tie the knot on July 19, but those plans were obviously scrapped once the pair called off their engagement back in April, right before Naya began seeing Ryan. Apparently picked the date back in October 2013, right after she and fiancé No. 1 got engaged.

OK, we admit that doesn’t sound great, but Ryan’s dad, Arnold, clarified to TMZ that while July 19 may have been the newlyweds’ “something borrowed,” the date also has additional significance: It’s Ryan’s birthday!

Arnold also noted that he actually found out about his son’s impending nuptials about six weeks ago. While he was understandably surprised, he insists he just wants Naya and Ryan to be happy. “We didn’t question him. We are very happy for him. We trusted them and want what they wanted,” he said.

Still, there are apparently even more similarities between Naya and Ryan’s walk down the aisle and the wedding she was planning to Big Sean. We told you yesterday all about Naya’s stunning Monique Lhuillier gown, and apparently the wedding dress Sean bought Naya for their wedding was made by the same designer. For Ryan’s sake, we hope she at least picked out a different Monique Lhuillier creation…

Odd similarities aside, we sincerely wish the couple all the best.
