NBC Criticized For Airing Kris Jenner Interview Instead of Honoring Anniversary of 9/11
Kris Jenner found herself smack dab in the middle of NBC’s network drama when she appeared on the Today show this morning for an interview.
The channel came under fire for being the only big three broadcast network not to honor the 11th anniversary of 9/11 with a moment of silence. While Good Morning America on ABC and This Morning on CBS both interrupted their shows to go live to the 9/11 Memorial in Manhattan, Today continued an interview with the Kardashian matriarch, who spent much of her time talking about her recent boob job.
While the move was heavily criticized, NBC has put out a statement of its own, saying it already paid tribute to the event in various segments over the course of the morning.
“The Today show dedicated a considerable amount of time to September 11th coverage this morning throughout the entire show,” a spokesperson for NBC said in a statement to TVLine.
What do you think of NBC’s choice to air the interview over a moment of silence?
