NeNe Leakes Apologizes for Her Behavior at Kenya Moore’s Charity Event

NeNe Leakes shocked viewers on this week's February 16 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta when she let her personal issues with Kenya Moore interfere with a charity event for one of her favorite organizations, Saving Our Daughters. When Kenya asked NeNe to say a few words, NeNe was so angry that she let it affect her abrupt speech.

"It's amazing how many good friends I have and don't know about it. I'd like to thank Saving Our Daughters, which is one of many charities that I work with," NeNe said, before walking away.

Even NeNe's top supporter, Cynthia Bailey, had to admit that NeNe's behavior was uncalled for. "Why's she killing herself right now?" Cynthia wondered.

Meanwhile, her hubby, Peter Thomas, was so annoyed by NeNe that he decided to leave the event. "I don't agree with what NeNe just did. Whatever beef they had, this is not the place for it … This is a charity event," he said.

Now NeNe is the one making apologies for how she handled the situation, but not without throwing a little shade at Kenya at the same time. In her weekly Bravo blog, NeNe wrote:

"I don't have a lot I want to say, but I'll start by saying I apologize for my behavior at the charity event. I definitely don't want to teach young women that this is the proper way to respond when someone is trying to trick you into a situation and push your buttons. I would much rather teach young women to be aware of the wolves in sheep’s clothing."

Apology accepted? At least she’s putting her charity first!
