Phaedra Parks Says She Stays Out of NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey’s Friendship

With so much drama going on in her own life, Phaedra Parks says she’s not about to get caught up in the constant feuding between her castmates — particularly that between NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey.

On the most recent December 14 episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra and the rest of the cast decided to leave the group dinner to let NeNe and Cynthia hash things out once and for all.

Absence trumps honesty as the best policy for the Secrets of the Southern Belle author, who tells that she has no intention of meddling in Cynthia and NeNe’s affairs.

“NeNe and Cynthia were very close friends, and their problems had nothing to do with the rest of us,” Phaedra states. “Out of respect for their relationship and privacy, I felt it was best to let them have time alone. I’m glad we did because, as history has proven, when the rest of us start interjecting and expressing opinions, things escalate very fast and usually not in a good direction. The last thing NeNe and Cynthia needed was all of us inserting ourselves into their situation.”

It seems that Phaedra feels the same about people talking about her personal life, as well. She recently slammed some of her castmates for talking to the press about her relationship problems with estranged hubby Apollo Nida, saying of their decision, “The lack of compassion was, at times, shocking.”

Do you think Phaedra is making the right decision by staying out of NeNe and Cynthia’s friendship, or should she have stuck around at dinner? Sound off in the comments!
