Uh-oh! During Part 3 of the Season 6 reunion of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, we watched NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore make a pledge to contribute some hefty donations to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation, but according to Daily Mail, neither NeNe nor Kenya have come through with the cash.
The promised funds were brought up while the women discussed the infamous charity event that occurred during Season 6 of the show — when Kenya surprised NeNe by making her the guest of honor at the shindig. NeNe was so infuriated about being pushed into a weird position that she ended up acting super rude.
To make up for what happened, NeNe offered to make a donation to a charity of Kenya's choice, provided that she match NeNe's contribution.
"Let's put our differences aside for a day of charity. You pick the charity of your choice. I will donate $20,000, and you match me. You donate 20 (thousand) along with me. How about that? $20K. You ready? Name the charity, and let's go," NeNe told Kenya.
Obviously, this was actually an attempt on NeNe's part to prove that Kenya doesn't have the money, but Kenya readily agreed, and now both women look bad.
The foundation's president, Glenda Price, revealed that they've yet to hear anything about the money, but they are waiting with fingers crossed.
"'I'm certainly hoping we do hear something. There has been a tremendous amount of interest generated but there hasn't been any official word about contributions," she said.
