It’s been a rough week for Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes, who watched her longtime friendship with Cynthia Bailey crumble on Sunday night’s “Reunion, Part 2” and was ejected from Dancing With the Stars the very next night. But it sounds like the break from balancing the two gigs might be a welcome relief for the reality favorite.

Backstage after DWTS’s recent episode, NeNe told Us Weekly that switching between the dance competition and the drama-filled reunions “was tough.”

"I had to fly back [to Atlanta] to do the reunion and dance at the same time. Tony [Dovolani] had to go there with me — so that was tough . . . staying in a positive place is tough,” the Queen Bee explained.

Unfortunately, any extra positive energy won’t be coming from her broken relationship with Cynthia, which she says “is a done deal” with little hope for reconciliation.

“I think that our friendship was great," Leakes told Us Weekly, before adding, "I feel like I was a great friend to her. I honestly think she was a great friend for me. I just think that our friendship has come to an end. It's run its course."

Well, at least these are certainly more positive words for her co-star than she had a few nights ago, when she was calling Cynthia a “flip flopper” and accusing her of trying to stay relevant for Season 7. Glad to see NeNe taking the high road here.

As for Season 7, she’s still not sure about whether she’ll return, particularly with the way she says the show has changed since she began way back in Season 1.

"There's a lot of hesitation," she revealed. "I feel like when I began my journey on Real Housewives of Atlanta, it was more positive. People tuned in to see fashion and fabulousness — never pulling hair or belittling or being super negative. I can't even believe how it's changed."

We hope you come back, girl!
