Demi Lovato’s Creative Director for Her Tour is a Jonas Brother!
Demi Lovato goes to show that in the House of Disney, everybody’s family.
The 21-year-old pop star has hired on fellow former Disney star Nick Jonas as the musical and creative director of her upcoming Neon Lights tour. Of course, making this news even more electric is the fact Dems once dated Nick’s brother Joe!
The tour starts on February 9 in Vancouver, B.C., and Nick tells E! News he’ll be “overseeing video content, wardrobe, lighting, and staging” for the whole production. He’ll also be “creating the arrangements for the songs” and helping Demi accomplish her goal of building “a show without stops and starts.”
In case you’re scratching your head wondering how Nick will pull all this off in just five short days, turns out these two crafty kids have actually been working together for “several months.” In fact, Nick signed on right around when the Jonas Brothers announced their breakup as a band. Maybe this kind of new page is what Nick had in mind when he said of the split, “we're closing a chapter, for sure."
Dems and Nick haven’t exactly been trying to keep their collaboration secret with Demi telling E! News back in December that the youngest Jo Bro would be helping “create the show for my tour.” We just didn’t know how instrumental he’d be in the final product!
While Nick says he’ll be working hard on the show for the foreseeable future, don’t expect to see him at every tour date. “I’ll get the tour up and running, make sure it’s running smoothly, and then check in every few weeks,” he explains. Guess that means sightings of brother Joe will also be a rare occurrence…
