More Deets on The ‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival Have Leaked
We were so happy when Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival was announced we drank a whole pot of coffee to celebrate. Now we might need an entire pool since even more exciting secrets about the upcoming redux have leaked.
Apparently the four-part return to Star’s Hollow will follow a full calendar year. That means we’ll be spending spring, summer, fall, and winter with Lorelai and Rory if negotiations go well with the cast.
Each installment will be a 90-minute “movie” and feature a season of Gilmore goodness, TV Line reports.
Stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel won’t have to pretend they’re eight years younger (or sit in a makeup chair for hours). Instead the official “final season(s)” of the WB favorite will take place in the present day.
While it’s not confirmed the comeback will drop next year, we have our fingers crossed. Not only because we’re wondering what Jess Mariano’s doing right this second, but 2016 is also an election year.
Who knows what kind of high-level D.C. position Rory’s scored since following Barack Obama’s presidential campaign nearly a decade ago. And what’s a better way to see our girl in action than in the political thick of it?
But no matter what happens, Gilmore Girls, where you lead, we’ll definitely follow.
