Believe it or not, fall officially begins this weekend! This is pretty much our favorite season — all our beloved TV shows are back on, we can bust out our sweaters and office Snuggies (you have those too, right?), and look forward to weekends cozying up at the movies on a brisk day. Here's the scoop on three choice flicks hitting theaters this Friday, September 23.

If you're Team Jacob, you maybe be interested in action-(six-)packed Abduction, starring super hot Taylor Lautner of Twilight fame. When Nathan Harper (Lautner) discovers an old picture of himself on a missing persons website, his world comes crashing down around him... and that's just the beginning. Sexy? You did hear us say Taylor Lautner, right? Not-so-sexy? Constantly shushing gaggles of teenage girls squeeing over him. Verdict: Early reviews are dubbing this "suspense" film a dud, so you may want to save your money. That being said, nothing wrong with a little shirtless T-Laut in your life... might as well add it to your Netflix queue today.

In the mood for a feel-good dramedy instead? Batter up for Moneyball, a true-story film based on the book by Michael Lewis is about fighting the system and baseball. When Oakland A's manager Billy Beane has an epiphany about the sport... oh, forget the details, Brad Pitt is in this puppy! What else do you need to know? Here's what's sexy: Brad ditches the hirsute mountain man look for the Ken doll look and it works for him. Not sexy? You might not be able to help obsessing over the fact that OMG! Jonah Hill has lost so much weight! Verdict: Critics are calling Moneyball a homerun — and a perfect one to see with your dude.

Last but not least, Harry Connick, Jr.'s latest is a great pick for all the mommies and daddies out there who want to treat their back-to-school kids to a Saturday matinee. Dolphin Tale follows the inspiring real-life journey of a —  wait for it — dolphin named Winter, who gets caught in a crab trap and hurts his tail. (How they didn't name this movie A Winter's Tail, we'll never comprehend.) Sexy? Quality time with your family. Not sexy? Everyone else's kids in the theater giving you a headache. Verdict: Even if you don't have kiddos, this heartfelt story is well worth it — with an unheard-of 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it's gotta be amazing.
