Alex Trebek Hospitalized Following Heart Attack
Oh no! Alex Trebek, host of the iconic game show Jeopardy!, has been hospitalized in Los Angeles after suffering a heart attack — but don't freak out yet, since current reports are that the attack was relatively mild.
Sony Pictures Entertainment, the production company responsible for the show, released a statement saying that Alex, 71, is currently at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he is awaiting further testing; reportedly, though, he's in good spirits and is expected to fully recover in time for Jeopardy! to begin taping their next season in July.
And given that he's been hosting the show since 1984 (that's 28 years, y'all!), we're glad to hear that there won't be any bumps in the road for his continued tenure there. The show wouldn't be the same without him!
