Anne Hathaway’s Italian Ex-Boyfriend Released From Prison
Raffaello Follieri was imprisoned for falsely claiming he had Vatican connections — using those claims to buy church property at a discount. That was naughty of him. But now he’s out.
According to the New York Post, he was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison back in 2008 and Friday morning he was released from a prison 80 miles east of Pittsburgh.
Raffaello reportedly still owes more than $3.6 million to the people he ripped off, using the proceeds to live a luxurious life with his then-girlfriend, actress Anne Hathaway. Anne and Raffaello dated from 2004-2008. In November 2011, Anne got engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Adam Shulman.
