Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti to Divorce After 11 Years of Marriage
It's the end of the road for actress Ashley Judd and Indianapolis 500 champ Dario Franchitti.
The couple surprised us last night by announcing their split in a statement to People magazine: "We have mutually decided to end our marriage. We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."
They got engaged in 1999 and married on December 12, 2001 in Scotland. They have no children together.
Ashley, the daughter of Naomi Judd and sister of Wynonna Judd, most recently appeared on the ABC show Missing. The show was canceled, but Ashley was nominated for an Emmy. She’s also shown an increasing interest in politics and may be considering a Senate run in Kentucky. Either way, we’re sorry to hear of this split and hope for a bright future for both Ashley and Dario.
