Best in Show Star Fred Willard Arrested For Lewd Conduct, Fired From PBS Show
Fred Willard is known for his hilarious roles in comedies like Best in Show, Anchorman, and American Wedding, but the fallout from his recent brush with the law is far from funny.
According to TMZ, the 72-year-old actor was picked up at a XXX movie theater on Wednesday, July 18, and arrested for “lewd conduct.” The police claim to have found him with his pants down in the adult venue.
Not long after the story broke, PBS fired Fred from their new antiques-focused reality show Market Warriors and are planning to rework the series so that no unaired episodes featuring him will run. "Given the unfortunate news reported today, effective immediately, Fred Willard no longer will be involved with the Market Warriors series," revealed a WGBH spokesperson in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
