R&B singer Bobby Brown was married to Whitney Houston from 1992-2007.
With fans of Whitney Houston devastated by her shocking death yesterday, it's inconceivable to think of her family's pain — and they've released an official statement honoring the late idol.
"We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Whitney," her family said in a public statement regarding her death. "This is an unimaginable tragedy and we will miss her terribly. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support from her fans and friends. The Houston Family"
Extra also reports that they received a statement from Bobby Brown regarding the tragedy. Whitney's ex-husband said, "I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed toward my family and I at this most difficult time."
Reportedly, Bobby Brown broke down on stage yesterday during a New Edition reunion tour show in Memphis; an insider described him as "shattered" by the tragedy. Meanwhile, Whitney's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was rushed to the hospital for the second time since Whitney's passing, after the 18-year-old showed signs of exhaustion.
