Saul has become increasingly essential to Breaking Bad as the rest of the characters spiral into the moral abyss. His self-serving ramblings add some much-needed levity to heavy situations.

In this sneak peek of Season 5, Episode 3: "Hazard Pay," Saul voices his protest against Mike joining Walter and Jesse's new partnership. "The three of us, we're the three Amigos!" he complains. "We don't need a fourth Amigo." 

Of course, Walter wants to bring Mike in and these days, Walter gets what Walter wants.
