Burning Candles Spark Major Fire in Heather Graham's NYC Apartment
You know how, in the movies, people light candles all over a room to make it more romantic? In the real world, you have to put those candles out or this will happen.
According to the New York Post, a fire started last night in Heather Graham's Manhattan penthouse apartment, because burning candles were left near the bathtub. The fire chief speculated that the candle flames caught some clothes nearby and started the blaze. The fire reportedly took 45 minutes to put out — so it wasn't just a minor quick fix.
The Hangover and Boogie Nights star was apparently unhurt — it's not even clear where she was when the fire started. But in an interesting little factoid, the Post says actor Zach Braff lives just one floor below her. We could totally see him falling asleep in the tub surrounded by candles, maybe with one of those sleep masks on his face. Not this time, though.
Practice safe candle use, everyone!
