Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer Had "Massive Fights" on Magic Mike Set: Rumor
Sexy, shirtless male dancers should make love, not war!
Alas, our dreams of the Magic Mike set as a perfect nirvana have been shattered. Or not. Maybe these rumors are way off. Anyway, in a new twist from the usual tabloid stories about women getting catty and jealous, Us Weekly (via Celebitchy) reports that Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer were not exactly besties while shooting Magic Mike.
"He hates Alex," a source said of Channing. "They had massive fights on set.”
Another "insider" blamed Alex — an easy target since the guy already has a reputation. "Alex was a jerk to everyone during filming for no reason,” the insider said. “He thinks he’s the star of the movie, not Channing or Matthew McConaughey.”
Us claims Channing cut one of Alex's scenes from Magic Mike and Alex "went on a rampage about it." The two were reportedly still on the outs at the film's L.A. premiere on June 25, posing as far away from each other as possible. “Channing refuses to do appearances alone with Alex — and he’ll never work with him again," the source said.
Juicy stuff. Do you believe it? Maybe we're just buying the PR hype, but all the Magic guys seemed to love each other, saying sweet things in interviews about having a blast together. We want to believe that's the way it was. But seriously, what is it with Alex that he keeps landing on the wrong end of behavior rumors? Is someone setting him up or is he doing the damage himself?
