Charlie Sheen’s Ex Denise Richards Will Play His Love Interest

Denise Richards told Extra that her ex-husband Charlie Sheen personally asked her to guest-star on his upcoming FX sitcom Anger Management. Calling the show “really funny,” Denise confirms the bizarre casting choice: “I play a love interest to my [real life] ex-husband,” she reveals.

The role is bound to raise eyebrows (and ratings), considering their high-profile split in 2006 after Denise issued a sworn declaration outlining Charlie’s notoriously wild ways — the least of which included death threats against Denise in her home while he visited their two children. Denise ultimately filed a restraining order against the former Two and a Half Men star before they officially ended their marriage.

After last year's public meltdown spectacle, does this mean Charlie has turned over a new leaf? Denise tells Extra, “He's in a really good place. Everything is good. He's been very focused on our children and on his job.”
