Could Taylor Swift’s First Major Movie Role Be as Joni Mitchell?

Taylor Swift is no stranger to the big screen, but she has yet to take on a major role. According to Variety, that may be about to change.

The 22-year-old songstress’s involvement hasn’t been confirmed, but she’s said to be in contention to play Joni Mitchell, should the book Girls Like Us get the Hollywood treatment. Although the project is still up in the air, Sony Pictures and Di Bonaventura Pictures are reportedly aiming to begin production within the year.

Taylor would star alongside two other actresses, who would portray Joni’s contemporaries, singers Carly Simon and Carole King.
