Dennis Quaid has handed in his papers — his divorce papers, that is.

Back in October, Dennis's wife of eight years, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, filed for legal separation, and now the actor is looking to put a legal end to their marriage. According to People, Dennis filed for divorce today (November 30) in Los Angeles Superior Court.

According to the papers, Dennis is seeking joint custody of the couple's twins, Thomas and Zoe. The Parent Trap star is also father to Jack Henry Quaid, his son with ex-wife Meg Ryan.

This will be Dennis Quaid's third divorce.
