full size Megan Fox Arrives at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Megan Fox got her start in a Lindsay Lohan film, but she doesn't appear to be on Team Lindsay.

In an interview with Esquire magazine, Megan explains why she had her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed.

"She [Marilyn] was sort of like Lindsay [Lohan]," Megan says. "She was an actress who wasn't reliable, who almost wasn't insurable ... She had all the potential in the world, and it was squandered. I'm not interested in following in those footsteps."

Harsh! Her comments are especially rough when you consider that Megan and Lindsay both starred in the film Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen together. There's certainly plenty of "drama."

But did Megan not intend to diss Lindsay? Following the release of the interview, Megan took to Facebook to clarify her thoughts on Marilyn and Linds.

"Both women were gifted actresses, whose natural talent was lost amongst the chaos and incessant media scrutiny surrounding their lifestyles and their difficulties adhering to studio schedules, etc," Megan explains.

"It was most definitely not my intention to criticize or degrade Lindsay," she continues. "I would never want her to feel bullied, as she does not deserve that. I was not always speaking eloquently during this interview, and this miscommunication is my fault."

Megan has plenty of other fascinating viewpoints to dispense during the Esquire interview, including the fact that fame is harder than everyone realizes.

"I don't think people understand," the new mom says. "They all think we should shut the f**k up and stop complaining because you live in a big house or you drive a Bentley."

In reality, Megan says fame is like "being bullied by millions of people constantly."

Megan also says, "I believe in aliens." And she says, "Loch Ness monster — there's something to it." Um, okay.

Sadly, she didn't get into whether she also thinks that cars can actually turn into robots, like in Transformers.
