Emily Blunt on Mortifying “Bush”-Shaving Story Caught on Film
There aren’t many things that will make Emily Blunt cry both tears of laughter and humiliation, but her Your Sister’s Sister co-star Rosemarie DeWitt knows exactly what it takes.
The British actress opened up to Elle UK about shooting a scene in which director Lynn Shelton wanted Rosemarie to make her blush. The first thing that her co-star came up with was an improvised story about when Emily’s character had been asked by a boy to “shave [her] bush.” (Because whose mind wouldn’t go there?)
“I went completely crimson. I was so mortified,” dished Emily. “For the first time ever on film, I cried with laughter and they caught it, they captured that golden moment when it was completely genuine.”
The ladies told The Hollywood Reporter in January that about 85% of their scenes together were ad-libbed, so we’ll get to see more of those hilarious moments when Your Sister’s Sister hits theaters this summer.
