Fifty Shades of Grey Casting: Will Uma Thurman Play Mrs. Robinson?
There's a new leading contender emerging to play Elena Lincoln in the Fifty Shades of Grey film, and let's just say she looks amazing in a yellow tracksuit.
Uma Thurman appeared onstage with Robert Pattinson at Elle magazine's annual "Women in Hollywood" celebration and looked stunning, causing many publications to mention her as a top contender for the role.
Known as "Mrs. Robinson," Elena Lincoln is the older woman who had a relationship with Christian Grey when he was a teenager, and let's just say she taught him a thing or two. Both Books & Review and The Examiner have suggested Uma for the role.
"Uma Thurman showed she still has what it takes to turn any man's head, even a gorgeous Christian Grey, when she stepped out for the Elle celebration," says The Examiner. Additionally, Liggybee has chosen 42-year-old Uma — who gave birth to a baby girl earlier this month — as that site's top pick for the part.
However, a role this coveted is bound (so to speak) to have fierce competition. Charlize Theron is seen as a fan favorite for the role, and other candidates include Michelle Pfeiffer, Kim Cattrall, and Cameron Diaz.
Uma — who has starred in the Kill Bill movies and Pulp Fiction, and more recently on the TV show Smash — is no stranger to sexy roles, having just signed on for the film Nymphomaniac opposite Shia LeBeouf.
So who would you like to see in this role — Uma or someone else?
