Somebody just got spanked!

Back in November, the makers of Fifty Shades of Grey: A XXX Adaptation were sued by the copyright owner of the Fifty Shades of Grey book, as well as Universal Studios, which owns the official movie rights. Why? According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plaintiffs argued the porn spoof was a "willful attempt to capitalize on the reputation of the book."

Well ... yeah, it was! Today The Hollywood Reporter says Universal has completed a settlement with the makers of the porn film. According to the court filing THR quotes, "Smash Pictures [who made the porno] will make a payment of a confidential sum to make the lawsuit go away and also will consent to a permanent injunction that will prohibit the distribution of the XXX Adaptation."

So we won't get to see the extra kinky spoof versions of Christian and Ana. So disappointing! Meanwhile, it's taking forever for the official Fifty Shades film to get off the ground. Can't they just give fans something, spoof or otherwise, in the meantime?
