Gerard Butler is still "hunting" for the perfect girl.

Gerard appeared on The Tonight Show on December 3 to promote his new film, Playing for Keeps, which co-stars Jessica Biel. 

During the interview, Gerard — who has starred in such films as The Bounty Hunter and 300 — refers to his "girlfriend" twice, without mentioning her name. This piques Jay Leno's interest.

"You mentioned this girlfriend twice," Jay tells him. "I've never heard you do that... Give me a little information on this. Can I ask you how long you've been going out?"

"It's been seven months now... It's not a record," Gerard retorted.

Gerard is dating model/actress Madalina Ghenea, according to Us Weekly.

Come to think of it, seven months feels like a lifetime of marriage by his standards.
