Girls Spoilers: What Happens on the Final 3 Episodes of the HBO Show?
There are just four episodes left of Girls’ successful first season. HBO has already renewed Girls for Season 2, so what happens to the four main characters towards the end of this season should give us an idea of what to expect from the next season. Will Hannah ever stop being Adam’s doormat? Will Jessa hook up with her boss’s husband? Will Shoshanna lose her virginity?
Well, HBO has released the synopses for the final three episodes, and while we can’t predict the future, there are definitely some pleasant surprises in store.
Episode 8: “Weirdos Need Girlfriends Too” (airs June 3)
Hannah will “venture further into Adam’s world,” which means, sadly, we haven’t seen the last of him leading her on, and Jessa will be “newly unemployed.” Does she get called out on her flirtation with the boss’s husband so soon? Marnie will be “at an all-time low,” and bond with Jessa before meeting “a very eligible bachelor who is not what he seems.” Bonus: The handsome stranger will be played by Chris O’Dowd, the Irish cop who fell for Kristen Wiig’s character in Bridesmaids.
Episode 9: “Leave Me Alone” (airs June 10)
Finally! We were wondering when Hannah would have to deal with that pesky little problem known as Money. Hannah will start working at Café Grumpy, where she “does a reading hosted by a former professor.” The professor is played by Michael Imperioli, who we will always lovingly remember as Christ-ah-fuh on The Sopranos. She’ll be “behind on rent and resentful of the literary success of a former classmate,” played by Saturday Night Live alum Jenny Slate. Also: Marnie will be uncomfortable “support[ing] Hannah financially and emotionally.” And Girls will explore the world of online dating via Shoshanna going on a day date with “an online match.” Bonus: Katherine Hahn will appear again and confront Jessa.
Episode 10: “She Did” (Season 1 finale, airs June 17)
Ugh, Adam will still be around! But at least “Hannah starts to question her relationship” with him. Starts to? Geez. The rest sounds promising: “Jessa throws a mystery party, where Marnie embraces her free-spirited side.” In other words, Marnie will hook up with a rebound guy, and Jessa will be in her full fabulous element. Bonus: “Shoshanna’s uniqueness works in her favor.” In other words, we desperately hope this means Shoshanna gets laid.
