Heidi Klum on the Childish Project Runway Season 10 Quitters
Project Runway Season 10 starts tonight (July 19) at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime, and we couldn't be more excited to get back in the workroom to see what the new contestants sew up for us this season.
Wetpaint Entertainment recently had the chance to talk to Heidi Klum during a Q&A session about the season. She dished on the new season, what the new crop of contestants is like, and why some of them walked off set.

Heidi explained that she doesn't like to compare the talent level between seasons, but this season "I think we have some [designers] that are not that talented and we quickly see that. We have some that are really amazing that have come up with new things where we sit there and we’re like, 'Wow, we haven’t seen anything like that,’ or, 'You have a different technique.'"
As for whether or not we'll be seeing a lot of drama this year, she emphasized that the show is "based on talent. It’s not based on having characters on." That said, "people in the fashion industry; they’re very proud and they are designers and they stand behind what they make. So there’s always friction and there’s always jealousy amongst them."
We know this season will have some drama, because Heidi confirmed the rumors about contestants quitting. "You will definitely see it on the show," she explained. "They just could not make it work and in the morning they were gone. They literally packed up their bags and ran off in the middle of the night when everyone was sleeping. We just couldn’t believe it either."
She added, "You would think that a grownup would say, 'Thanks, but I can’t make it work. I’ve got to go early or something.' This is something that a kid would do, but we were all very surprised. But if people can’t make it work then leave the spot for someone else that wants to make it work."
