Honey Boo Boo’s Family Recipe For “Sketti”: Butter and Ketchup (VIDEO)

Times are little tougher recently for Alana’s family on TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, with few deer having been hit by cars. In a clip from the show, the hyper 7-year-old laments not having had roadkill in her belly for a while. Never fear. Her Mama, June, has a “sketti” recipe that’s another family favorite. The special sauce consists of ketchup and butter.

Mama explains the recipe by saying, “You put a little bit of butter in with the ketchup,” then pop it in the microwave. An extreme couponer, the Boo Boo family matriarch is able to feed her family on $80 a week (though maybe not with the healthiest of recipes). In order to check if the noodles are done, Honey Boo Boo throws them against a kitchen cabinet to see if they stick. 

There also appears to be meat added to the “sketti,” but it’s not clear if it came from the grocery store or from their roadkill freezer.
