Unlike Kelly Taylor, the spoiled teenage brat she portrayed on Beverly Hills, 90210, post-breakup Jennie Garth is no vicious drama queen.  

That isn’t to say that promoting her new CMT reality show Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country has been easy for the star. With her divorce from Peter Facinelli still making headlines, it’s all anyone wants to talk about — including Savannah Guthrie during her interview with Jennie on the TODAY show on April 17.

 

When asked if the split came as a shock, Garth says, ”No. It was something that we were working through together.” She acknowledges, however, that the decision to divorce is ultimately “kind of shocking when it ends up finally happening.”

So what about her rumored jealousy of Facinelli’s success with the Twilight franchise? Garth handles the curiosity about the circumstances surrounding the end of her 11-year marriage with grace and ease, saying that she was never envious of Facinelli’s fame: “I was very happy for him, and so happy to be home with the kids.”

The pair have three daughters.
