Seventy-eight-year-old fashion critic, award show interviewer, and all around sassy pants Joan Rivers smoked a lot of marijuana on her WE reality show, Joan & Melissa, on January 31, 2012.

Rivers has admitted to smoking pot in the past — medicinally to ease the pain of her multiple plastic surgeries and recreationally back in the day with Betty White — but we’ve never actually seen her do it. And trust us: It’s quite a spectacle to behold.

After toking up in a parking lot with her good friend Lynne, the two get so stoned that they’re unable to drive home. Joan’s daughter Melissa picks them up, and after a Harold and Kumar moment, Joan and her friend wind up (fully clothed) in Melissa’s hot tub. Joan goes so far as to drink hot tub water out of her shoe — and pull daughter Melissa in with her.
