Paramount Pictures has decided to green-light a fourth installment of the Transformers franchise — with or without their biggest stars.
Leading man Shia LaBeouf told MTV News back in 2011 he wouldn’t do another installment, and now Josh Duhamel has revealed to E! Online that Shia’s may not be the only one jumping ship (er, robot?).
“I don’t think anybody’s doing it,” said the hunky actor, who was last seen making googly eyes at Sarah Jessica Parker in New Year’s Eve. “I know Shia’s not doing it. I don’t think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it.”
It’s not necessarily that no one will do it, though. E! didn’t have Josh on the record as saying outright that he wasn’t interested. Instead, Josh revealed, “I haven’t heard anything about it. They haven’t called me.”
We’re definitely curious to know if he and the others would return if asked. Given that Rosie only joined the cast in the most recent flick as the new Megan Fox, it seems a little early for the former Victoria’s Secret model to have her “I want to be taken seriously as an actress and not cast for my hotness” Hollywood moment.
It looks like there’s still hope for seeing at least one familiar (and gorgeous) face in the potential blockbuster. Would that be enough to make YOU buy a ticket?
