Justin Bieber, Ryan Gosling, and Avril Lavigne Are All Distant Cousins: Report
Justin Bieber, Ryan Gosling, Celine Dion, and Avril Lavigne apparently have more in common than their shared Canadian heritage! The four superstars are reportedly all related to each other as distant cousins. Talk about an entertaining family reunion!
According to genealogists at Ancestry.com, the four celebs have family links dating all the way back to early settlers of Canada’s Quebec province.
The report says that Justin and Ryan are 11th cousins once removed, Biebs and Celine are 10th cousins three times removed, and he and Avril are 12th cousins. The connections can all be traced to two French couples who moved to Quebec in the 1600s.
“Discoveries like this are rare, so the fact that some of Canada's top entertainment industry stars are all related is especially fascinating," genealogist Lesley Anderson told E! News. "There's something special about discovering a shared connection, and to be able to go so far back in history to do so is one of the most satisfying aspects of family history research.”
