Kardashian Krisis Averted at the 2011 Hollywood Style Awards

Celebrities often say it takes a village to make them look as stunning as we perceive them, and nowhere was that more evident than at the 2011 Hollywood Style Awards, where the top makeup artists, hair stylists, colorists, and more were honored for excellence. Wetpaint Entertainment was on the scene at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles to bring you all the scoop from inside the bash.

The hot pink carpet turned into a reunion for presenters and honorees, as they navigated the pressline. Hart of Dixie’s Jaime King decided to forgo interviews as she ran towards “One To Watch” honoree Chloe Moretz and gave the 14-year-old a big hug. “Jaime is like a best friend to me and a sister,” said Chloe, on stage. “It’s really special to have her present this award to me.”

Eva Longoria joked that her Victoria Beckham dress was squeezing the breath out of her as she presented the award for Photographer of the Year to Randall Slavin. “If it were up to me, the world would see me like Randall does,” said Eva. “He has the ability to make a girl look persuasive and fierce and fragile and delicate and a million other things that you never thought were possible.”

Randall's trick for making the celebs comfortable? “I say, ‘It will be quick and painless,’” he told us on the carpet. “[Eva ] is very secure in who she his, she trusts me and she knows I’m not going to make her look bad.”

Zoe Saldana made her first post-split appearance, chatting and giggling with some girlfriends, including Mara Roszak, to whom she presented the award for Hairstylist of the Year. Somehow we think the girl won’t be single for long and neither, it seems, does Randall. “Zoe is just one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever shot,” the photographer told us. “She’s got the most ridiculously creamy skin and she’s very aware of her body and the way clothes fit and feel on her.” Get in line, guys.

The most buzzed about guests of the Style Awards were, of course, the three Kardashians in the house: Khloe and her sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Big sister Khloe presented her siblings with the award for Stylish Sisters of the Year, telling the audience how proud she was. But when it came to thanking their presenter, Kendall and Kylie returned the kind words by forgetting the sibling standing right in front of them. “Thanks to our other stylish sisters, Kourtney and Kim,” said Kylie, as Khloe loudly cleared her throat. “What? I already thanked you!” retorted Kylie. “Do it again,” said Khloe, not budging.

As the audience laughed at their banter, Kylie did indeed thank her sister, and a Kardashian "krisis" was averted. “I have so much love and admiration for all my sisters,” said Khloe. And when it comes to the two youngest ones, “I really wish I was that stylish at their age,” she added. “I still take inspiration from them.”
