Katy Perry Talks About Her New Movie Part of Me on Ellen, Says She’s “Not Perfect”

Pop queen Katy Perry dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier today to chat about her upcoming 3-D extravaganza, Katy Perry: Part of Me.

Not one to mince words, Ellen dove right in and asked whether Katy’s marriage and subsequent divorce from Russell Brand made it into the film.

“I thought it was important to show everything in between,” Katy explained. “I think sometimes people think that we’re perfect, and we know we’re not perfect, at all.”

The saucy singer also discussed her gospel roots and overcoming multiple record label rejections before becoming the chart-topping, Grammy-nominated artist she is today.

Russell made his own appearance on Ellen last week, insisting that he still loves his ex-wife “as a human being” and was “very happy to be married with her,” even if it was only for 14 months.

Katy may have kept Russell around for Part of Me, but the randy comedian was nowhere to be found in her Facebook Timeline-inspired video for the song “Wide Awake.”
