If you believe the press, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s relationship couldn’t be more strained, but according to the Twilight actress, the pair are doing “fine.”

While doing press for her new film, On the Road, at the Toronto International Film Festival (which marks Kristen’s first public appearance since news of her affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders broke) the actress told the Associated Press that she isn’t worried about awkwardness between her and her (former? current?) beau Robert.

"We're going to be fine," Stewart said when asked if she was worried about doing press with him for the upcoming Breaking Dawn 2. "We're totally fine."

Kristen also admitted that she was “nervous” before facing reporters at the TIFF, but she was glad that she made it through.

“To be honest, I was just kind of telling myself, like, just don't black out. Be there, don't just figuratively put your head down and barrel though it. Be there, appreciate it. Luckily, very, very much I was able to do that."

News of Kristen’s affair with Rupert broke in late July when photographs of them hugging first appeared on the cover of Us Weekly. KStew immediately issued a public apology to her longtime boyfriend Rob, telling him that she was sorry and that she loves him. The pair have been private about the status of their relationship since then, with many speculating that they have broken up and some wondering if the pair would be able to weather the storm.

Whatever happened, it appears that the couple is doing OK now.
