Kristin Cavallari claims she's not as wild as we've all been led to believe.
The star of Laguna Beach and The Hills tells E! that her Hills co-stars were bribed to make up stories about her having a drug problem, according to Us Weekly.
"I had two lives," she says. "I had the public Kristin, and then I had the real me."
Kristin — who welcomed son Camden with Jay Cutler last year — says she's never had issues with substance abuse but that the show's other stars were encouraged to lie on camera and to the press about her having a drug problem.
"I felt so used," the former Dancing with the Stars contestant continues. "And I realized at that moment that I didn't matter. None of us mattered. It was all about ratings."
In fact, Kristin says one producer even tried to bribe her co-stars with $10,000 Birkin bags to tell fictitious stories about Kristin's supposedly wild partying ways. However, the Birkin-bag bribes were apparently not accepted.
Kristin adds that she didn't know what she was getting into when she signed up for Laguna Beach as a teenager.
"I was 16 when they first came," she says. "We were babies, and we didn't know what we were signing up for. They literally came in and just manipulated situations."
Wait — so reality TV producers aren't completely trustworthy? Who knew!
