Maggie Q Drops Juicy Nikita Spoilers: Nikita Kisses “Someone Who’s Not Michael” and More For Season 2, Episode 22, “Crossbow”
With just two episodes left until the Nikita Season 2 finale, our imaginations have been in overdrive as we wonder about the fates of our much-loved rogue agents. Luckily, we had a chance to chat with its star, Maggie Q, and she dished some juicy details to Wetpaint Entertainment about what’s to come. Although she confirmed some of our fears (more danger, of course!), we also got some surprising spoiler-y tidbits — like that there’s a kiss coming up that might not bode well for our favorite couple! Read on for the details, but be warned that there are spoilers ahead.
What can you say about Episode 22, “Crossbow”?
Maggie Q: It is definitely the beginning of the end for something that Nikita is really, really sick of [...] She's pissed, and she really, really doesn't want to run. I mean, she can continue to be in a fight, but to be running for her life from Percy and this threat forever, it's just not sustainable. And it will hurt everyone she loves.
Do you feel like going into Season 3 they’re taking more of a stand than in the past?
Definitely. I mean definitely, and the big question mark is going to be: Can that family exist in this very alternate and strange universe that they've created and live in?
In last week’s episode, Nikita and the rest of the gang had a brief, happy scene where they were all together, but it felt like a precursor for bad things to come.
I think everything in Nikita is a precursor for bad things to come. It's one of those things where nothing is ever going to stay the same, which is great. I thought the same thing [...] It's one of those fleeting moments of happiness she's going to think back on and wish she had when she doesn't.
There's a kiss in the next episode that we'd love for you to tease.
Yes. Nikita kisses somebody who's not Michael in the next episode. It's so bizarre, but they're going to like it [...] There's been an undertone about it in the show since day one, but I don't think anybody's going to expect it. When I read it, I was like, “Oh!”
Is there any chance this person might be a nerd?
Maybe. He may be smart, maybe.
Speaking of nerds, Sonya seems to be starting to doubt Percy. Will she make a decision about whether or not she’s going to stay?
We are going to go into how Sonya feels about all of this. She's kind of cool because she's been sort of a very side character, but important, and she has had doubts [...] So Nikita actually gets some face time with her in the finale [...] That doubt is going to surface, but it's less about Sonya making a decision and more about making a decision that's made for them.
We've been sensing some tension between Nikita and Ryan. Is it something that will be explored?
I think there is a sexual tension. I think that Ryan really cares about her [...] I will say, as a tease — if we do go for Season 3 — that Nikita and Ryan will be getting a lot closer. That's for sure.
Are we going to be seeing Amanda again before the end of the season?
We are going to see her before the season ends, but not in the capacity that you think [...] There's just one other thing she's going to do to set herself up for the third season, which is cool.
