Good Will Hunting? More like, good Matt dieting.

Matt Damon says he lost weight to play Liberace in the upcoming HBO film Behind the Candelabra in order to make his form-fitting clothes look better on him, according to Entertainment Weekly.

“I did maybe ten fittings with that would go on for hours,” Matt says of trying on the '70s-esque outfits like skin-tight swimsuits and thigh-revealing robes.

“I was losing weight because I was trying to make the clothes fall better," he explains. "I’ve never been that guy."

Matt  who was named People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2007  said he would tell people on the film to be patient and that he was doing his best to get trim.

"I was like, ‘No really, I’m just ruining this shirt. But in two weeks, it’s going to look great, I’m telling you!’” Matt adds.

It's hard to imagine Matt Damon needing to lose weight, especially since he usually plays such physical roles like in the Bourne movies.

Still, we can't blame him for wanting to look good in a super-short robe! Those things are never flattering.
