Mayim Bialik Injures Hand in Car Accident in L.A.: Report (UPDATE)

Update: Although Mayim suffered lacerations to her left hand and thumb, Deadline reports that she's not going to lose a finger and is planning on returning to work to film The Big Bang Theory tomorrow.

Original story: According to TMZ, Blossom and Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles this afternoon.

The site reports that the 36-year-old actress and mother of two “sustained serious injuries” and “is in danger of losing her finger.”

Apparently, Mayim was driving alone when her car was hit by a vehicle filled with tourists from Chile at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that she is "doing OK."
