Michael Fassbender Confirms He’s Dating Shame Co-Star — Women Everywhere Weep

Up until now super-sexy Irishman Michael Fassbender had been painfully private about his personal life, giving women of the world a glimmer of hope that he may be up for grabs. Recently, however, he revealed to GQ that he is in fact dating his Shame co-star Nicole Beharie. In an art-imitates-life twist, the two played co-workers having a clandestine romance in the film. Method acting, FTW!

Fassy finally confessed in his interview with GQ, "I'm seeing Nicole, we're trying to see each other as often as possible.” He adds, however, "That's kind of difficult when she lives [in New York] and I live in England."

The news of their relationship isn’t a total surprise. After the he and Nicole were spotted holding hands this March in NYC, rumors swirled around the two — especially considering their steamy NC-17 scenes in Shame.  Fassy maintains, "Nothing happened while we were filming. We started talking more on the promotion thing. [...] It just sort of unfolded like that."

We respect Fassy’s professionalism — but we can’t help that our hearts break a little with the news.
