Is she in the Army now?

Miley Cyrus went shopping with a friend in New York City on August 23, and between her combat boots and the camo button-up tied around her waist, the 19-year-old pop starlet was giving off a serious tough-girl vibe.

Miley’s been all about her s***-kicking footwear lately, and now with her edgy new ’do, she’s essentially the punk rock version of Hannah Montana.

What do you think of her urban ensemble: Is the “don’t-mess-with-me” look right up her alley, or is it just a total mess?

Either way, let’s hope she doesn’t go full-on military and get a high-and-tight buzz cut.
