Mmm...Beer? Hanson Brothers Launch MMMhops: Beer For Grown-Ups (UPDATE)
Update! The Hansons have at long last debuted their Mmmhops Pale Ale at The Hangover Part III's premiere afterparty earlier this week! The beer is a joint venture with Mustang Brewing in their homestate of Oklahoma. Taylor even Instagrammed a picture of him with Hangover and The Office star Ed Helms holding bottles of the brews!
"You can now get a hangover with Hanson," the band said, all clever.
Hangovers aren't the only connection between the film and the beer, though: apparently the song "Mmmbop" plays a role. Synergy!
The beer at the afterparty isn't going to be the exact same thing that we'll be able to buy in stores — it was just a sample batch — but the Hanson brothers are working with Mustang on the first, official recipe.
Original Story, December 1, 2011:
Fourteen years ago, three boys who looked and sang a lot like girls, unleashed one of the catchiest pop songs unto the world, “Mmmbop,” and now that song has inspired a new beer.
The Hanson brothers, the three boys behind Hanson, recently announced that they would be launching their own beer, appropriately called Mmmhop.
According to the Daily Express, the beverage will be “an Indian pale ale due out early next year.” As youngest bro Zac (now 26!) put it, “It’s vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson does. We are soon going to be selling our own beer. I’m not joking – MMMhop IPA anyone?”
